The Syria that was
Syria, January 2011, eight weeks before civil protests turned bloody. Why Syria? We wanted to experience the culture, the history, the people. What we were unprepared for was the level of generosity and hospitality, the beauty, the tolerance and the smiles.

These images were part to the Projections Program of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale 2015,
The BIFB 2015 Projections Program comprised 53 audio visuals by 45 artists from 16 countries around the world. The Projections looped daily at the Ballarat Mining Exchange throughout the festival.
