The HIDDEN PORT exhibition held at the South Australian Maritime Museum, 2016/2017
The HIDDEN PORT exhibition was a collaboration between three Port Adelaide based photographers and the SAMM. Sandra Elms, Danica Gacesa McLean and I were given access to locked up buildings in the Port to record on film what lies behind closed doors. The locations included the wool stores, the quarantine station, Hart's Mill, the boatyards and the Marine and Harbours building. Other than the boatyards, the images were taken over a six month period, most of the images of the boatyards were taken prior to their demolition in 2009. The exhibition was up for four months and below is a selection of my works from the exhibition. Click on an image to enlarge ©Tony Kearney 2020. |
